In Misionera Jungle more than 2.000 species plants are found. They can be classified depending on the light penetration through the vegetation. So we can distinguish three stratos from the superior cape to a level of about 30 meters high, it passes through a middle layer of 3 to10 meters high and it arrives at the inner strato where the organic stuff in decomposition process is found.

In Misionera Jungle inferior base, the ground surface is covered by moss, lichens and ferns and among them a thin humus organic layer also in decomposition process.

There isn´t another more fertile natural system than the one offered by a wood. It gives a maintenance cycle of generation and decomposition of the organic stuff. Fruits, leaves, seeds, logs, branches and dead animals in decomposition form the fertile humus layer. A permanent level of dampness is a characteristic of this place together with scarce light which makes vegetables grow quick.

The middle layer has got bushes, young trees of about 3 and 10 meters high and canes. Some of these species are: the Cocú, the Thorny Yqueries, the Brave Nettle, the Parí-paroba (billy goat beard)

At last we find de superior layer. It is covered by the top of the trees of 20 to30meters high with a huge foliage, they are like a curtain through which the sun rays try to reach the ground. At this level there are a great variety of trees: Lapacho Negro, Cedar, White Guatambú, Peteribí or Parrot, Black Laurel, Incense, among others. The species of 30 meters high are: the Timbó, the Grapia, the Incense or the scarce Pink Pole.

The landscape looks like a leafy vegetation impossible to enter. But what is something really beautiful to the human eye are the tracks that can be observed through the thick foliage.
